Key Responsibilities:
- Market Exploration & Entry: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential partnerships and licensing opportunities in Europe or the USA, ensuring strategic market entry.
- Business Negotiations: Engage in high-level negotiations with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and regulatory bodies, to secure favorable transactions and collaborative agreements.
- Network Expansion: Leverage existing industry contacts to establish new relationships with decision-makers in target markets, thereby expanding our client base and enhancing our product portfolio.
- Deal Structuring: Develop and submit comprehensive business proposals incorporating financial models, risk assessments, and market strategies for approval by senior management.
- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of legal agreements, ensuring adherence to international laws and company policies.
- Client Servicing: Monitor the performance of ongoing projects, maintain relationships with partners, and adjust strategies as necessary to maximize returns and achieve business objectives.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and anticipate market shifts.
Qualifications:
- Education: Hold a Master's degree or higher in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrate a proven track record in business development or a related role within the pharmaceutical industry, with a particular focus on Europe or the USA.
- Network: Possess an extensive network of contacts within multinational pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and regulatory agencies.
- Negotiation Skills: Exhibit exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities, effectively engaging with senior-level executives.
- Technical Knowledge: Have a profound understanding of drug development processes, intellectual property laws, and international regulatory frameworks.
- Cultural Awareness: Be sensitive to cultural nuances and adept at adapting communication styles to diverse audiences.
- Language: Fluent in English and preferably proficient in additional European languages relevant to the target market (e.g., French, German, Spanish).
- Travel Requirements: Be able to travel extensively within Europe or the USA as needed.
